Found this little guy on our porch, brought him to the wildlife center. The woman there says we definitely saved it's life!
It was early one morning last November when I found Larry the orange Duck. I was walking out onto my porch to get the newspaper and there lying on the ground staring up at me was this orange duck! I assumed it had gotten lost from it's flock. It looked really sick and unhealthy. I could tell it was badly in need of food and attention. So my girlfriend and I brought it down to the nearby wildlife center. The woman there gave it medicine and food. She told us we definitely saved it's life! This made us so happy! We decided to take it home so we could nurse it back to health. We named it Larry, after my High School basketball coach. Well, Six months now has passed and I'm happy to report it's eating on it's own and even helping us out with driving the kids to school. Here are the before and after pictures of Larry. |
Before Picture
First week: Look how orange and sick it looks. It looks so beat up and starved for attention. The veterinarian said it's bill was infected and that's what was making it so puffy. |

Six months: Only six months later! Larry has regained it's health 100%! Here's a recent picture of Larry driving our kids to piano lessons. He still has a problem driving in fowl weather LOL! OMG! LMAO! |
